I spent the evening camped out at Lake Tahoe, an enormous inland lake about 4 hours drive out of San Francisco. There are a few campsites on the shore of the Lake, but there’s pretty popular during summertime and fill up quite. I was able to grab one of the last free spots at Camp Richardson, on the south side of the lake.
Campsite was easy to get around and there was a network of bike tracks and trails that were easy enough to push around including down to the lake.
One small word of caution – I found the campsite I had a little tricky to use because it had been mulched with soft wood chippings, making it soft to push through.
