Whistler is less than 2 hours drive from Vancouver and has an outdoor lifestyle. Having hosted the Winter Paralympics, Whistler is famed for it’s inclusive environment.
And it’s absurdly busy during summer. I gave up very quickly dropping into the main village centre and instead found myself a car space further out of town (The Meadow Park Sports Centre) that would allow me to connect onto the Valley Trail.
The Valley Trail network is extensive with large sections of it paved or bichumen in the lower valley. There’s over 20km of tracks that can be explored as well as sections of the river than can be kayaked or packrafted.
The Whistler RV Camp and Caravan Park is a 15 minute drive out of Whister. Being a campsite, it’s super flat and easy to get around. They have an accessible bathroom facility in the camping area, but it was out of order when I was staying here.
