Oak Park has steps, lots of steps, but they’re not so bad as long as you take a group of willing people out with you that don’t mind carrying a bit of gear (thanks guys!).
Park at the end of Jibbon St (one mobility parking bay) and gear up here. Roll down to the top of the steps and negotiate the steps (there’s probably about 25 or so, well made from concrete with railings either side). From the bottom of the steps, it’s then about 10m into the water. Enter on the right-hand side fo the ocean swimming pool and swim out until about 20m or so beyond the swimming pool. Descend from here and enjoy.
Oak Park was full of treats when we last went out there: a wobbegong, a curious cuttlefish, a shark’s egg and we even found the mysterious rocking horse.
