Kayaking is a brilliant way of exploring national parks and even more so for doing an overnight camping trip. Myall lakes offer a fantastic range of camping and kayaking options and we were keen to spend out Easter Break exploring the area.
Before heading north, I used the Find-a-camp website, to get a feeling for the number and type of campsites available. We wanted something that was by boat access only (since it was Easter and busy), and right on the water’s edge.
We launched from Mungo Brush campsite using the boatramp, and headed north to the Bombah Point Ferry crossing for lunch. In the afternoon we explored around to Violet Point before backtracking to Mackaway Bay. A beautiful campsite right on the water’s edge that we had to ourselves for the night.
